COIMBATORE: B.Nagaraj, a 25-year-old from Pollachi, has set a world record for working on the computer continuously for 168 hours. Network designing
Mr.Nagaraj started working on network designing on August 16 at 10 a.m. and concluded it on August 23 at 10 a.m. at CMC Computer Education, Gandhipuram, where he was pursuing a course in networking.Achievement
“He has created 320 routers, 2,200 switches, 13,356 hosts and 250 networks in a single LAN, which has never been done before by anyone in the world,” said S.V.Sethuraman, Centre Head, CMC Computer Education.
Six judges monitored his work and medical check up was arranged whenever he took his one hour break, Mr.Sethuraman said.

A graduate in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, he had always been interested in networking and had aspired to set a different sort of a record. “I have been surviving on biscuits for the last seven days. I was entitled for a one-hour break of every 24 hours. But, I am not tired,” Mr.Nagaraj said.
He also holds the Limca Book of Records for writing non-stop for 120 hours against child labour. Creating awareness
“Awareness about computers and computer literacy is below 20 per cent in the country. Creating records such as these is a way to make people aware of computers and the need to learn computers,” Mr.Nagaraj said. Company
Along with his friends, he has also started a company called Latha Infotech to promote entrepreneurship among the youth.
